California Farmers Markets; Why We Love Them!

Farmers Markets have always held a special place in our heart because of their deep roots in agriculture and the community. When Nana Joes Granola first started selling granola to Bi Rite, Lunarides and Luke's Local in 2010 we also started selling at many farmers markets around San Francisco. Michelle and Pete could always be found at the Castro market on Wednesday nights, the Ferry Plaza market on Saturday mornings and the various Sunday markets around town.
Farmers Markets have always given us a chance to connect with our local community, get real time feedback on which blends customers love, and get inspiration from local produce. Supporting our community is a cornerstone of Nana Joes Granola which is why it is so important that we listen to what our customer have to say and make sure this business reflects their needs. We've had seasonal blends that became permeate because of customer feedback and got to see which blends maybe weren't everyone's favorite (spoiler they loved them all!).
We've gained so much inspiration from selling at the Farmers Markets and talking to farmers about new ways to use fruits and vegetable's. We even began using peaches from Blossom Bluff, who we wouldn't have met without selling at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. These same peaches can be found in our best-selling Cluster Blend
Today we sell at CUESA's Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, where a portion of our sales goes to CUESA's non-profit dedicated to sustainable agriculture and education. We can also be found on Saturday's at the San Mateo Farmers Markets from 9AM - 1PM. We hope to see you there one day!
