We teamed up with the wonderful Edgar Castrejón of Instagram fame @edgarraw and new cookbook Provecho, which brings together his family’s favorite Mexican recipes and plant-based lifestyle. This showstopping Chaga Chai Granola reflects his love for functional mushrooms and bold, gingery spices. We used both chaga and reishi powder for immunity benefits and a delicious earthiness, plus toasted oats, whole almonds, freshly minced ginger, and a blend of cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and pepper. The whole thing gets topped with our signature mix of maple syrup and almond butter, resulting in the crunchiest texture and an almost caramel-like coating.
5% of proceeds go to Corazón Healdsburg, an incredible nonprofit close to Edgar's heart. Located at the Healdsburg Community Center, Corazón operates a bilingual family resource center and offers family-centered coaching, education for all ages, and services on financial stability, workforce development, emergency response and immigration. They annually serve nearly 500 low-income families and aim to amplify the Latin American voice.
