It’s probably no surprise, but we are huge fans of Melissa King. Not only is she an incredible Bay Area chef but she’s also become an innovative storyteller with her National Geographic docuseries “Tasting Wild”. She’s known for using unique ingredients and fusing them together to make something delicious that no one else but Melissa could create. That is why Melissa is the perfect collaborative partner for Nana Joes Granola. Our founder Michelle, a trained pastry chef, came out of the kitchen to pursue a passion for producing high-quality granola with a positive impact on the local and global community. When Michelle and Melissa get together something magical happens, and this blend represents just that.

As a fan of starting my day with a morning matcha, I wanted to create my chef blend around this complex flavor to kick start your day. I’m a fan of textures and added clusters of rice puffs and toasted coconut. My proceeds support Lavender Phoenix , a local Bay Area LGBTQ+ organization with a mission to support and uplift queer and transgender Asian and Pacific Islander communities.
I’ve been a fan of Nana Joes Granola since I first discovered them at my local farmer's market. I’ve seen Michelle’s obsession for creating exciting granolas that are not only wildly addictive but are made with pure ingredients and a lot of love. Michelle is the heart of this company and is actively involved in every detail of every grain of granola. A few years ago, we made a strawberry matcha granola that was a big hit and it felt right to bring that granola back for everyone to enjoy once again. I’m so proud to see how much NJG has grown over the years, and I can’t help but cheer louder and louder for them.
